Executive Director
Diana Lowe, QC is the Executive Director of the Forum.
Diana obtained her Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Law degrees from the University of Alberta (BA 1981, LLB 1984) and her Master of Laws from the University of Edinburgh (LLM, 1991). She practised law for 13 years, first in Alberta and more recently in British Columbia. Her legal practice included litigation and administrative law, law reform, teaching the public, lay advocates, law students and lawyers, writing and editing. Diana has had extensive experience coordinating law reform initiatives undertaken by multi-disciplinary coalitions. Diana relocated to Alberta in the fall of 1998 when she began working with the Forum.

Program Director
Kim Taylor is the Program Director at the Forum.
As Program Director, Kim co-edits and publishes News & Views on Civil Justice Reform. This publication covers various topics of interest in civil justice reform, bringing practical information and scholarly discussion to members of the civil justice community across Canada. As well, she plays an important role in the Forum's collaborative research and networking programs. Kim participates as the Forum's representative on committees related to civil justice reform, makes presentations on the Forum and its work to a variety of audiences, is involved in public legal education initiatives, and provides research assistance. Her position as Program Director has even allowed her to both produce videos relating to the civil justice system and to act in some of those multi-media presentations. One of the newest programs at the Forum will see Kim acting as a media liaison with regard to civil justice issues.
Kim obtained her Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws degrees from the University of Alberta (BA (Special) 1979, LLB 1982) and has a certificate in Adult Learning (1999). She has been called to the Bars of both British Columbia and Alberta and is presently a non-practicing member of the Law Society of Alberta. Kim is also a member of the Association des juristes d'expression française de l'Alberta (AJEFA).

Research
Research Director
Mary Stratton is the Research Director at the Forum.
Mary has a PhD in Sociology from Carleton University, and has an interdisciplinary MA in Child and Human Development from Laurentian University. Her specializations include collaborative approaches to research in community development and organizational change; developing multiple method approaches that are appropriate to the issue and community to be researched; and the role of informal learning in gaining and applying new knowledge. Since September 2001 Mary has applied her experience to coordinating the Civil Justice System and the Public project, and has gained first-hand knowledge about the experiences of the public and justice community members across the country.

Senior Researcher
Sarah Auger is the Senior Researcher at the Forum.
Sarah obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in Native Studies from the University of Alberta (1999), and is currently completing an MSc in Human Ecology. She has worked extensively with government, academic and social justice organizations in a number of different capacities, but her focus since obtaining her B.A. has been in applied research. She has experience in research design, data collection, data analysis, and dissemination of results, and has worked with the Métis Nation of Alberta, Correctional Service Canada, Native Counselling Services of Alberta, and Families First Edmonton (Community-University Partnership). Sarah is a member of Mikisew Cree First Nations and possesses a wealth of personal and professional experience to draw on in doing collaborative and responsible research with Aboriginal peoples and communities. Sarah joined the forum in April 2008.

Librarian and Information Coordinator
Brad Albrecht is the Librarian and Information Coordinator at the Forum.
As Librarian, Brad's main responsibilities are the Forum's on-line resources. He is responsible for updating the Clearinghouse with the latest articles and reports on the civil justice system, as well as posting civil justice news and information about projects at the Forum on the website. He is currently developing the Forum's new Inventory of Reforms, for which he is both overseeing the research and designing the web application.
Brad obtained his Bachelor of Science with Honors in Computing Science (First Class Honors) and his Bachelor of Laws (with Distinction) from the University of Alberta (BSc 2000, LLB 2004). He joined the Forum in 2003 as a Research Assistant, and accepted the position of Librarian and Information Coordinator in November 2006. He is currently enrolled part-time in the Masters of Library and Information Studies program at the University of Alberta.

Alberta Legal Services Mapping Project
Research Coordinator
Glynnis Lieb is the Research Coordinator of the Forum's Alberta Legal Services Mapping Project.
Glynnis obtained her Bachelor of Arts (BA (hons), 1999) and Master of Arts (MA, 2004) degrees from the University of Manitoba, and is currently completing her PhD in Personality Psychology (Psych. Cand., 2006). She worked in the Social Services sector of the Government of Manitoba for nine years. She has also been a Psychology Instructor at the University of Manitoba for four years and the University of Winnipeg for one year. Glynnis began working at the Forum in October 2007.

Assistant Research Coordinator
Stephanie Abel is the Assistant Research Coordinator for the Alberta Legal Services Mapping Project with the Forum.
Stephanie obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminology from Simon Fraser University in 1998 and her Master of Arts degree in the interdisciplinary Studies in Policy and Practice Program from the University of Victoria in 2007. In between degrees she worked at various women's shelters and provided counseling for children and youth in abusive families. Stephanie joined the Forum in November 2007.

Research Assistants
Jane Conly is a Research Assistant with the Alberta Legal Services Mapping Project.
Jane obtained her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Winnipeg (2002) and recently completed her BCL/LLB at McGill University. Jane has worked for the Forum on a number of projects in the past and joined the Alberta Legal Services Mapping Project team in January 2008.

David Kruch is a Research Assistant with the Alberta Legal Services Mapping Project.
David obtained his Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree in Philosophy from the University of Alberta in 2006. David has several years of telephone research experience and most recently provided technical support for IBM. David joined the Mapping Project team in April 2008.

Administrative Staff
Financial & Human Resources Administrator
Lisa Krezanowski is the Financial & Human Resources Administrator at the Forum.
Lisa has been with the Forum since 2008. She has extensive experience as a senior Administrator in the not-for-profit sector in Alberta. She is responsible for the financial and human resource administration activities for the Forum, along with administrative, technological and communications support for all staff.

Project and Special Events Administrator
Mélanie Tremblay is the Project and Special Events Administrator at the Forum.
Mélanie has been with the Forum as our Project and Special Events Administrator since March 2005. She is responsible for the administrative functions of the Forum and provides support for our core research programs including day-to-day administrative support for the core and research staff, the administration of conferences, educational programs, symposiums and special events, travel arrangements and promotional materials. In addition, Mélanie provides the Secretariat support for the Association of Canadian Court Administrators. Mélanie has excellent communication skills in both French and English. Mélanie is currently completing her Double Major in English and French from the University of Athabasca on a part time basis.
