The Board, Advisory Board and Honourary Board members of the Forum include leading members of the Bar, government, court administration, the judiciary, legal academia and the lay public from across the country.
Current Board Members
Mr. Justice Thomas Cromwell is the Chair of the Board. He is a member of the Court of Appeal of Nova Scotia.
Trevor Farrow is the Vice Chair of the Board. He is an Associate Professor at Osgoode Hall Law School of York University.
Mary Ellen Hodgins is the Past Chair of the Board. She is a layperson who served for 6 years as a laybencher with the Law Society of Saskatchewan and is a past-President of the Saskatchewan Branch of the Consumers' Association of Canada.
Russell Brown is an Assistant Professor on the Faculty of Law at the University of Alberta.
Barbara Billingsley is Associate Dean Research / Associate Professor on the Faculty of Law at the University of Alberta.
Christiane Coulombe is the General Director for the Court of Appeal of Quebec.
M. Jerry McHale, QC is the Assistant Deputy Minister, Justice Services Branch, in the British Columbia Ministry of the Attorney General.
Ann Merritt is the Assistant Deputy Minister, Court Services, in the Ontario Ministry of the Attorney General.
Darrel Pink is the Executive Director of the Nova Scotia Barristers Society.
Barbara Ritzen, QC is the Senior Regional Director for the Prairie Region of Justice Canada.
Diana Lowe, QC is the Executive Director of the Canadian Forum on Civil Justice and a non-voting Member of the Board.

Carl Baar is a leading scholar in judicial administration, retired from Brock University and now an Adjunct Professor of Political Science at York University in Toronto.
Brian A. Crane, QC is a lawyer practicing in Ottawa with the firm of Gowling, Lafleur Henderson LLP and was the Chair of the Systems of Civil Justice Implementation Committee.
Simon Potter is a lawyer practicing in Montréal wth the firm of McCarthy Tétrault and a past President of the Canadian Bar Association.
Seymour Trachimovsky is the Chief Legal Officer of GE - Zenon ULC.
Andrew Watt is retired from the federal public service, where he was among other things Special Adviser to the Deputy Minister of Justice and head of the Judicial Affairs Unit. He was a founding director of the Forum. Andy now lives in Nova Scotia.
